Ts. Norzie Hasnira Ramlan

Ts. Norzie Hasnira is a Marine and VTMS Manager at Johor Port Authority, Malaysia, with 15 years of experience in the port industry. She is responsible for managing maritime activities, vessel traffic management services at Johor Ports, project management in maritime, maritime license management, government relations, pilotage, and shipping activities. Prior to joining JPA, she was an Executive Planner at Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd for 2 years. Among Ts. Norzie’s most notable certifications are her designation as a Certified Professional Technologist in Maritime Technology (Port) and her status as a lifetime member of the Association of Malaysia’s Maritime Professionals (IKMAL). She is also registered under The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). She earned a Master’s Degree in Science Transportation Planning from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2017, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Management from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) in 2007. She also graduated from the UNCTAD Train for Trade Port Management Program in 2019. A notable milestone in her career was the invitation to speak at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) IMO-UNEP Norway 3rd Innovation Forum in London in 2023, where she delivered a presentation on “The Role of Ports in Ensuring Comprehensive Environmental Protection from Shipping Activities.”
