Prof. Dr. Capt. Norzali Bin M. Zain is a seasoned maritime and offshore industry expert with nearly four decades of experience spanning marine operations, oil & gas, and energy consultancy. His career began as a Marine Deck Officer with Malaysian International Shipping Corporation (MISC) from 1976 to 1986. He later specialized in Marine Warranty inspections for offshore assets with major players like Petronas Carigali, Shell and EPMI. He has held key leadership roles across various marine and engineering firms in Malaysia and Singapore.
From 2017 to 2024, he served as Project Director at Global Marine Offshore and Pelorus Velocity Sdn Bhd, overseeing complex transportation, installation, and marine operations for offshore energy projects. His expertise includes port and shipping marine consultancy, offshore supply vessel chartering, heavy lifting, and process equipment fabrication.
Prof. Dr. Capt. Norzali is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He is also a certified Merchant Marine Officer from Sydney Technical College, Australia, and the Marine Academy Malaysia.
