Korné is a renown and experienced Dutch civil engineer and founder of The Walhout Group. With a strong focus on innovative solutions for maritime infrastructure, the family-owned business has grown to an international organisation with an impressive track record.
Korné’s work has been honored with several awards, including the Dutch Pionering Award and the title “Rising Talent” from the Royal Dutch Society of Engineers. His career is characterised by in-depth knowledge and a practical approach to addressing complex technical challenges. As a civil engineer, he has proven himself through his involvement in a variety of complex projects, utilising his expertise to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for terminals and ports worldwide. During the presentation, Korné will explain the importance of having the correct insights and combining technical knowledge with legal, financial, operational and strategic expertise. This unique combination has not gone unnoticed as Korné is one of the Senior Advisors for the Corps of Engineers of the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
