Dr. Capt. Mohi Eldin Mohamed Elsayeh currently serves as the Dean of the College of Maritime Transport & Technology and the Director of the Technical Office for Maritime Transport Affairs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). As a Professor of Port Economics and Operation Management, he brings extensive experience to his roles, having previously worked as a merchant marine officer on various vessel types. 

Holding a Ph.D. in Port Economics and Operation Management from the University of Huddersfield, UK, Dr. Elsayeh also received an Honorary Doctorate in Maritime Port Management and Economics from Brunel International College, UK, for his significant scientific and practical contributions to society. His academic journey includes an MSc in Maritime Affairs with a focus on Port Management from the World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö, Sweden, a bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science and Technology from AASTMT in Alexandria, Egypt, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Fleet Operation and Safety System. Additionally, he holds a Master Mariner (Certificate of Competency). 

Throughout his career, Dr. Elsayeh has been actively involved in academic activities, including seminars, workshops, international field studies, and research projects. His extensive publication record includes research papers presented at international conferences and published in various journals. He has also supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, contributing to the academic growth of his students. 

Dr. Elsayeh’s professional affiliations reflect his commitment to the maritime field. He is a member of the International Association of Maritime Lecturers (IMLA), the Arab Association for Navigation, the Arab African Association for Logistics and Transport, the Arab Association for Maritime Trade & Development, and The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) in the UK. The career of Dr. Elsayeh’s is marked by his dedication to advancing maritime education and his active participation in the global maritime community.
