Dato’ Dr. M. Gopala Krishnan is a respected figure in the logistics and shipping industry, currently serving as the Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Container Lines Malaysia. Born on March 29, 1957, in Klang, Malaysia, he has built a distinguished career spanning over four decades.
He began his career in 1978 as an Executive with Pernas Sime Darby Shipping and went on to hold senior roles, including Manager at Malaysia Shipping Agencies and Senior/General Manager at Mitsui OSK Lines Malaysia.
Dr. Gopala Krishnan also played a key role in industry bodies. He served as Secretary General of the Federation of Malaysian Shipping Agencies Association (2001–2010) and as President of the Central Region Shipping Association (2001–2007).
He holds an MBA from Pacific Southern University (2005) and was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management by Wilmington Metropolitan University (2004). He became a Fellow of the Society of Logisticians Malaysia in 2011.
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia, Inter Connex World (ICX), and the Global Logistics Network (GLOB). Since 2023, he has been serving as the President of the Logistics and Container Owners Association.
