Hafis brings more than 23 years of multifaceted experience and currently leads the Education Strategy under Group Human Resource Management (GHRM) at PETRONAS. His career journey spans diverse strategic roles across PETRONAS’ Downstream and Corporate businesses, covering Business Strategy, Business Development, Change Management, Supply & Distribution, Digital Transformation, Commercial Excellence, and Business Improvement.
With six years of hands-on expertise in downstream product supply management, vessel and shipment optimisation, and terminal operations across Malaysia, he has also played a pivotal role in driving international portfolio enhancements. His contributions have strengthened PETRONAS’ downstream business presence in South Africa, China, India, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, advancing both international growth and operational excellence.
In his current role, Hafis spearheads a national-level initiative to ensure a sustainable pipeline of skilled TVET talent for the oil and gas sector. This commitment has culminated in the establishment of the VISTA i-plus program, a landmark effort in human capital development designed by industry for industry.
He is a Certified Agile Coach and a Certified Process Manager (APQC, US), reflecting his strong passion for agile leadership, process excellence, and talent development.
